ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the data foundation and onboarding experience of the Axion platform: how a customer's raw quality data becomes a workspace engineers trust, from data handoff to their first actionable issues to investigate and resolve.

Product quality problems affect safety, cost, and the people who use what manufacturers build. The data behind those issues arrives messy, inconsistent, and full of domain language. How well we turn it into something quality engineers can trust sets how fast customers launch, how much effort it takes us, and how good Axion's AI and agents are after launch. Your first priority is making onboarding fast and repeatable while keeping the data and AI output trustworthy. You'll set the product direction for how Axion understands customer data.

This is a senior individual contributor role working closely with Engineering, Design, Solutions, and Operations. You'll thrive here if you like getting into real customer data, working side by side with engineers, and building AI products people have to trust.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Own the path from data handoff to a usable workspace: data setup, transformations, mappings, readiness, and a customer's first useful issues.

- Collaborate with customers, engineering, and operations to define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our data products, aligning these with company goals and user needs.

- Turn manual setup work into repeatable product capability, so each new customer takes less time and internal effort to bring on.

- Decide how customer data is structured, linked, classified, and turned into issues, and how that evolves as the product and our AI change.

- Capture what Axion needs to know about a customer's products, components, and failure modes during onboarding, and use it to improve classification, seed the customer's knowledge hub, and give AI agents better context.

- Learn from every onboarding alongside Solutions, Operations, and customers, and feed what you learn back into the product.

REQUIREMENTS

- 5+ years of product management in B2B software, including a product built around messy customer data or AI output customers need to trust.

- Hands-on data fluency: demonstrated experience owning data schemas, taxonomies, data ingestion pipelines, or similar data-product surfaces

- Experience measuring AI output quality: you've defined what "correct" looks like, used labeled examples, and shown whether a change made results better.

- A track record of turning implementation, onboarding, or operations work into repeatable product, with internal teams as your first users.

- Customer and operator judgment: you can work directly with a customer and the team doing the setup, run a focused pilot, and decide how to improve the product experience from the results.
