Global Experiential Marketing Manager

On the Waymo Marketing team, you will help to connect people with the magic and impact of Waymo's autonomous driving technology. Our team has the unique opportunity to not only grow Waymo's brand from the ground up, but to also build societal acceptance for autonomous driving technology for the first time in history. We build thoughtful marketing strategy, positioning, messaging and creative assets to deliver messages that matter to our audience, communicated through anything from video content, to social media interactions, to immersive physical experiences. We also shape Waymo's go-to-market initiatives, helping to transform Waymo into a thriving business with a growing user base.

In this hybrid role based in Los Angeles or New York, you will report to the Global Experiential Marketing Lead.

You Will:

• Spearhead US and select global experiential marketing strategies, driving high-impact initiatives from concept through execution.
• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of sponsorships and partnerships, leading property identification, strategic alignment, commercial negotiations, and on-site brand experiences.
• Drive end-to-end event-based strategy defining target audience segments, determining optimal event formats and scale, and establishing clear measurement frameworks to drive business impact.
• Serve as the steward of Waymo’s brand vision, translating brand strategy into immersive, world-class experiences that foster public trust in autonomous technology.
• Lead event sponsorship deal structuring and contract negotiations partnering with cross-functional partners, legal and finance teams to maximize asset value, ensure favorable commercial terms, and protect brand interests across all agreements.
• Mobilize leadership and cross-functional teams behind event priorities, securing rapid approvals through clear, proactive communication to execute at speed.
• Manage program budgets with attention to detail, optimizing resource allocation and vendor negotiations to deliver premium activations with high cost-efficiency.

You Have:

• 10+ years in an event specific role leading high-impact experiences in the US.
• Deep knowledge of the region’s experiential landscape, with a strong understanding of regional event industry trends and audiences.
• Extensive experience navigating the event sponsorship ecosystem, with a proven ability to evaluate value, negotiate high-stakes agreements, and oversee seamless on-site asset delivery.
• Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
• A roll-up-your-sleeves mentality with the flexibility to jump into operational, creative, or logistical functions to keep projects moving forward as we scale the team.
• A natural ability to balance high-level strategy with hands-on tactical execution, seamlessly pivoting across shifting priorities and expanding project scopes.

We Prefer:

• Global sponsorship experience.
• Experience in the autonomous vehicle, mobility, or a similarly highly regulated, pioneering technology sector.
• Experience thriving in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Travel Requirements:

• 30% - Willing to travel globally as required

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
